Freakout Records is bringing its annual festival back to Seattle this November, with a larger lineup than ever before, featuring acts from across the country and across the globe. This year, the festival has partnered with Mexico City’s legendary NRMAL Festival, to curate a diverse lineup composed of some of the best & brightest Latinx rising stars, as well as an array of notable National performers, and of course the cream of the crop from the Seattle music scene. Thus far Freakout has booked over 70 performers spread across seven venues in the Ballard neighborhood, Freakout & KEXP are proud to present a weekend filled with discovery, intensity and some much needed rock & roll.

LINEUP
This year’s headliners include Cedric Burnside, Liz Cooper, renowned garage rockers The Seeds, reggae legend Clinton Fearon, Matthew Dear, Seattle’s Big Business and Freakout’s own Smokey Brights. True to the festival’s roots, there will also be a strong psychedelic and garage rock presence, with performances from The Mystery Lights, Levitation Room, Triptides, White Mystery, Vacant Lots, The Schizophonics, as well as label veterans Acid Tongue and The Grizzled Mighty.

In partnership with NRMAL Festival and KEXP’s El Sonido, the label continues to knock down the border wall and will be hosting some incredible talent from Latin America, such as Puerto Rico rocker AJ Davila, Colombian electronic prodigy Cerrero, an an array of artists from Mexico including Petite Amie, Margaritas Podridas, Myuné and Par Ásito. Mexico City punks Carrion Kids and Los Honey Rockets will be returning as well.

Something special is happening with Seattle’s black rock & roll scene at the moment. While many of these artists have been performing at the festival for years, Freakout is honored to highlight artists such as the label’s most recent signee, Shaina Shepherd, along with Enumclaw, The Black Tones, Beverly Crusher, Black Ends, King Youngblood, Marshall Law Band, and Austin, Texas’ (by way of Seattle) Urban Heat.

Ballard’s deep roots in the Americana and country music scene will also be honored, featuring performances from Jamie Wyatt, Pearl Charles, Portland’s Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, Seattle favorite Caitlin Sherman and Tacoma newcomer Stephanie Anne Johnson & The Hidogs.
