DEIDRE

LOCAL GIRL RECEIVES A CURIOUS PARCEL

NEW YORK, NY - After a mysterious 100-year-long journey, a package has finally been delivered to its addressee, DEIDRE -- a young musician from New York City. She found the package on her doorstep yesterday, severely weathered, and covered in forwarded addresses ranging from New Orleans to Berlin with dates ranging from 1911 to 1969.

The National Security Agency has deemed the package a "curious parcel" and has urged DEIDRE to voluntarily hand over the object to them exclusively for investigation. "The fact that it has traveled so far and for so long, and had been addressed to someone who wouldn't be born for another 75 years is highly suspect; the Bureau would like the chance to mollify citizens' concerns about possible conspiracies related to this enigma," explained Officer B. Bebbins.

But almost as mysterious as the parcel itself, DEIDRE has decided to take the secrets within it and share them with the world. "It seems as though it's desperately searching for its final resting place," she says. "I could just keep this to myself, but I think the public should know - that is a task I am willing to undertake." The government has issued a strong warning to all citizens to be wary of DEIDRE, her "Curious Parcel", and any claims she makes about its contents.

Sources say DEIDRE will share her findings at a summer noir affair on Thursday, July 28th at Pete's Candy Store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A once-in-a-blue-moon type performance, DEIDRE will relay the stripped-down essence of the tales within the Curious Parcel with the help of her two brothers, The Muros, as well as her Ladies in Waiting. Joined by artists also performing out-of-their-boxes, Christina of Starlight Girls, Little Anchor, and Wavebreaker, as well as some other very strange characters.

DEIDRE has recorded dictations of the contents of the Curious Parcel. A limited edition has been pressed and will be available for guests to purchase.
