Wakefield, London and Portland converge as one with news that The Cribs are set to release their fifth album in May. Entitled In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull, the album marks a return to their classic three-piece status and heralds another chapter in the trajectory of the Jarman brothers.
Recorded in upstate New York courtesy of David Fridmann’s Tarbox Road studio with Fridmann at the controls, a short self-produced session at London’s Abbey Road and a few days in Chicago with producer Steve Albini at his EAR studio, the band have certainly clocked up the miles recording this hotly anticipated follow up to 2009’s Top Ten album Ignore The Ignorant.
In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull will be released on May 7th, 2012 through Wichita Records.
Having announced a short burst of live dates late last year which sold out in minutes, The Cribs tie in further dates to coincide with the release of In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull. Tickets will go on sale Friday February 17, 2012 at 9am from all usual outlets priced at £18 except in London which is £20.
The Cribs will also be playing shows in North America with a tour scheduled for April.
